One of the most important aspects of running a forklift is knowing what is happening around the vehicle at all times. The forklift driver is responsible for the load on the forks, the clearance of the load and the security of all items and people in the area. When the forklift is moving, the driver needs to be able to keep track of the movements behind the forklift at all times, but most lifts do not include security mirrors or mirrors with sufficient range of sight.

The rectangular forklift mirrors are installed in much the same manner as the vehicle rear view mirror.
