Safety is a universal concern. Families, singles, businesses, hospitals and schools are all looking to increase safety on some level. The best solution for safety, in most cases, are security mirrors. These mirrors are often used to house hidden security cameras which adds to the level of safety the mirrors emit even if the cameras are not in place. Universal security mirrors are installed in any environment with the use of mirror mounting brackets.

Mirror mounting brackets need to be universal, like safety. Adding security measures should not be a difficult process which is why universal mounting brackets are used to retro fit all security mirrors to a given space. Safety mirrors and specialty mirrors can be mounted in one of three ways - the flush mount, swivel mount and bracket mount.

The Flush Mirror Mounting Brackets
The flush mount is commonly used with domed and flat panel security mirrors in retail, hospital and business settings. The domes are mounted flush to the wall or ceiling so no hardware can be viewed from the floor. These mounts often used steel or strong metal brackets to secure the safety mirrors to a ceiling beam or wall stud. While domes can also be hung from other types of mirror mounting brackets, the flush mount is used most often because wiring for the security cameras can be hidden behind the walls.

Flush mirror mounting brackets are also used for the installation of flat panel or flush security mirrors. These units are installed on walls and ceilings and reflect only the images directly in front of the mirror. The flush mount is used most often for overhead viewing in office settings where the ceiling is located close to the images being reflected.

The Swivel Mirror Mounting Brackets
Swivel mirror mounting brackets are used with flat panel security mirrors and vehicle safety mirrors. Just like the mount in an automobile, the swivel bracket allows the mirror to be adjusted based upon the viewing area desired and the angle from which the mirror is being viewed. Dome security mirrors are not mounted with the use of swivel mirror brackets.

The Mirror Mounting Bracket Extension
Mirror mounting bracket extensions can be used to universally fit a security mirror to any space. These extension mirrors come in a variety of sizes including 14" and 26". The extension mirror brackets can also be used to lower the security mirror to a height where visual recognition of images is more perceivable.
